This web page is dedicated to my 1974 Ford LTD, the first car I ever owned. It served my family from 1974 until 1996, when rust finally did him in. These pictures were taken in 1985, when he was restored and repainted.
Through 150,000 miles of service, he only left me stranded one time with a bad fuel pump. He never had any engine problems; that 400 CID engine was magical. His transmission always leaked a little, but fluid was cheap.
His nickname was "Mr. LTD" - now with the "old school" 1970's cars in style, I wish I still had the big guy! He was stylish, safe, and had a ton of room (we once had seven people in the car!). I still dream of him.
He was purchased in Nokomis, Florida in June of 1974 for $4,200.00 new. I got him in 1981 from my Dad - a great hand-me down. Now he still lives on the 'net.
